StreamPulse
1. Information collected
StreamPulse only stores the information required for its operation: the list of channels you follow, your preferences (notifications, theme, display settings), your watch time, and accumulated channel points. All of this data is stored locally in your browser. The only exception is the community badge, described in section 4.
2. How data is used
This information is used exclusively to customize your notifications, display real-time live channel statuses, and preserve your settings across sessions.
3. Storage and data transfers
All your data (preferences, watch time, channel points) remains stored locally in your browser and is never sent to our servers, with the sole exception of the community badge hash described in section 4.
The channel names you add are sent directly to the public APIs of Twitch, Kick, and YouTube (and exclusively to these services) to verify their live status in real time.
The extension also downloads its technical configuration (Twitch API credentials) and the public list of community badge hashes from streampulse.fr. These requests do not transmit any personal data about you.
4. Community badge
The community badge displays the StreamPulse icon next to your username in Twitch chat. It is disabled by default and only activates with your consent, either during setup or in the settings: the extension then sends a hash of your Twitch username to our servers, at most once per day.
Your username itself never leaves your browser: it is hashed locally (salted, truncated SHA-256) before transmission. The public list retrieved by the extension contains no readable usernames.
We do not treat this hash as fully anonymous data: the salt is embedded in the extension, meaning a third party who already suspects a specific username could calculate its hash and check for its presence in the list. It is therefore considered pseudonymous data and treated as personal data.
This hash is solely used to identify which participants in a chat use StreamPulse in order to render their badge. It is never linked to any account, email address, or browsing history. You can disable the badge at any time in Settings → Chat → Community Badge, and previously recorded hashes can be deleted upon simple request.
5. Website analytics
The streampulse.fr website (and not the extension) uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages are viewed and improve the user experience: page views, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type, and approximate country. Clarity may also record browsing sessions for replay analysis.
Input fields and sensitive content are masked by default. This data is never used for advertising or to identify you individually. It is processed by Microsoft, including outside the European Union. For more details, consult the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
To opt out of measurement, you can block clarity.ms domains using a content blocker or enable tracking protection in your browser. You may also contact us if you have any questions regarding this data.
6. Your rights
You can delete all your data at any time by clearing your channels list, resetting the extension settings, or uninstalling the extension.
