What rewards, and how fast?
The campaign runs from September 8 to 30, 2026. Watch time adds up across every eligible nopixel V channel, and each tier unlocks a GTA Online reward, for a total of GTA$1.5 million and an outfit.
- 1 hour: GTA$250,000.
- 2 hours: GTA$250,000.
- 4 hours: GTA$1,000,000.
- 6 hours: the Burger Shot tracksuit.
Which streamers should you watch?
Only channels live on nopixel V count. Twitch flags them with the server logo next to the streamer’s name. A GTA RP stream on another server, even in the same category, does not move the campaign forward.
You do not need to play nopixel V, whose beta is invite-only: the campaign rewards viewers, and the GTA$ land in GTA Online.
The Twitch-side extras
On top of Drops, Twitch adds platform rewards during the event. They do not go through the Drops inventory.
- Three global emotes: LangBuddha, TrooperSoze and EarnedIt.
- A nopixel V chat badge: earned by subscribing during the event.
- Custom badges: offered by participating streamers on their own channel.
- GTA Cheermotes: available for a limited time.
Link your account and receive your GTA$
Without a link between Twitch and Rockstar Games, watch time still counts but the GTA$ cannot be delivered to you. Do it before you start watching.
- Connect Twitch to Rockstar On
rockstargames.com/account/connections, choose Twitch and authorize the link between the two accounts. - Check your GTA Online character Rockstar requires a GTA Online character that has completed the online tutorial, on the platform linked to your account.
- Launch GTA Online after claiming Once the tier is claimed on Twitch, the reward arrives within 72 hours of you signing in to GTA Online.
Six hours of watching without forgetting a thing
Six hours often means several evenings, and four tiers to claim one by one. StreamPulse, a free browser extension, claims every Drop that reaches 100% while you watch, and alerts you when an RP streamer you follow goes live.
Watch time cannot be faked: Twitch counts it on a tab genuinely open on an eligible channel. The extension also collects your channel points during these long sessions.
What happens after September 30?
The campaign ends on September 30, 2026: a tier reached but never claimed is lost. GTA RP Week has already come back to Twitch, and Rockstar regularly runs Drops for GTA Online: the account link you set up now will serve for the next ones, and for GTA 6 if Drops are announced for it.
FAQ
Do I need to play nopixel V to get the Drops?
No. The campaign rewards time spent watching nopixel V streamers. The GTA$ and the outfit are delivered in GTA Online.
Does watch time count if I switch streamers?
Yes. Progress belongs to the campaign, not the channel: you can move from one nopixel V streamer to another without losing progress.
Why have my GTA$ not arrived?
Check in order: the tier was claimed in the Twitch inventory, your Twitch account is linked to Rockstar Games, your character has completed the online tutorial, and 72 hours have passed since you signed in to GTA Online.
Do Drops work with the stream muted?
Yes, watch time is counted independently of sound. The tab must however stay open on an eligible channel.
